Former President Mahama has called on President Akufo Addo to declare a State of Emergency in the areas affected by the Akosombo Dam Spillage in the Volta Region
Former President Mahama has asked President Akufo Addo to consider declaring a state of emergency in the areas in the Volta region hugely affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage.
Communities along the southern belt of the Volta River have been submerged after the VRA began what can only be described as an unplanned spillage of the Akosombo dam.
This has led to flooding in Communities along the bank of the Volta River.
In view of this Mr Mahama who is a former President has tasked the current President Akufo Addo to declare a state of emergency to speed up the rescue efforts to save lives and properties in the affected areas.
