Alexander Afenyo Markin, the Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency has done something despicable that everyone after reading this will be shocked as to why someone in parliament making laws could be doing such a thing.
We have been following up on a divorce story between Selina and her husband.
While the focus of this narrative is not on the divorce case, it is worth noting that in this case, Afenyo Markin is the lawyer of Selina.
While the married couple had been separated, there were still issues about how custody of the children the marriage brought forth could be settled.
During this process, Selina’s husband noticed that his ex-wife wasn’t giving his two little children who are all girls the needed attention anytime he visited them.
As though that wasn’t enough, the husband noticed a disturbing change in the children which prompted him to seek professional attention for the children.
During the process, it was established that the children were being defiled by someone closer to their mother.
The children later opened up to their father that their uncle known as J.J. who is the brother of Selina has been inserting his manhood into their mouths.
A devastated story, the father reported the case to the police and all medical examination revealed indeed the children were being defiled under the watch of their mother Selina.
J.J. the brother of Selina was eventually arrested and the matter is currently pending in court.
Interestingly, Afenyo Markin who is the lawyer for Selina in the previous divorce case is yet again the lawyer for Selina’s brother J.J. who is currently under investigation for defiling his two young nieces.
While the matter was in court, the father in this story thought it wasn’t safe to leave the children under the same roof they were being defiled so he took them to his place to fully cater to them.
Selina who is currently believed to be a “side chick” to Afenyo Markin her lawyer together with Afenyo Markin and one Deborah who works at Afenyo Markin’s law firm invaded the school of these two kids in an attempt to abduct the children and send them back to Selina their mother on the blind side of their father whom they are currently living with.
Fortunately, the school which has its board Chair as Professor Agyemang Badu Akosa stopped the forceful abduction of these kids by National Security officers who invaded the school.
They called the father who was at work at the time and called the police from the east Legon police station for the arrest of the so-called National Security officers together with Deborah, the female lawyer who works with Afenyo Markin.
At the Police station, Deborah the lawyer from Afenyo Markin’s law firm who stormed the school premises of the kids with National Security officers admitted that she was acting on orders from her boss Afenyo Markin to go get the kids for Selina without the knowledge of their father whom they are currently living with.
The father of the children went ahead to petition the General Legal Council for the misconduct of Deborah a practicing lawyer at Afenyo Markin’s law firm.
Notable people on the committee of the General Legal Council who sat on the issue are Sam Okudzeto, Baffoe Bonnie, and Madam Lovelace who is a judge and also the wife of Anin Yeboah the former Chief Justice.
In a shocking Turn of events, the Generally Legal Council admitted the conduct of Deborah, Afenyo Markin, and the legal firm she works with are in clear violation of their ethics and code of conduct.
Instead of applying the needed sanctions, Deborah was only asked to write an Apology letter apologizing for her behavior.
She was asked to walk free without any sanction against her, against Afenyo Markin her boss, and their legal firm.
Afenyo Markin went ahead to call Selina’s husband, trying to exert pressure on him to withdraw the defilement case against J.J. the brother of Selina so they could settle it at home while the children live with the trauma.
This is what Afenyo Markin has been doing with his position as a member of parliament, a deputy majority leader, and now a nominee for the position of substantial majority leader.
If Afenyo Markin cannot respect the very laws of the land he makes in parliament, why should he still be in parliament making those laws?
