Nii Armah Amarteifio Apologizes to Dr. Daly
Nii Amarteifio has issued a formal apology to Dr. Anne Sansa Daly.
On Friday 23rd May 2025, Loud Silence Media host Kevin Taylor extensively spoke on a rejoinder issued by the lawyer of Dr. Anne Sansa Dally an American based medical officer.
A number of blogs particularly Modern Ghana published a letter from MDC suggesting that because the MDC says they have no details of Dr.Daly as a certified medical practitioner in Ghana, that makes a “Fake” doctor.
The Retraction came after Mr.Nii Armah realized that his petition was being misconstrued by blogs he had no personal connections or affiliation to.
Amarteifio, in his retraction, stated indeed he wrote to the MDC for clarification on the certification of Dr.Daly in Ghana as it was for the public good and not to tarnish the image of Dr. Daly or her profession or certification.
He stated in his press release that he writing to the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana asking about whether Dr. Daly was certified to practice in Ghana was without malice but rather for public good.
In his retraction, Nii Armah has acknowledged that even though he personally didn’t release the letter he got from MDC, he takes full responsibility for the damage the letter might have caused to the personality of Dr. Daly’s reputation and thus reservedly apologizes for his actions
“I acknowledge the significant emotional and reputational toll this incident has had, and I am truly sorry for the distress it has caused.
I have personally reached out to Dr. Daly and rendered an unqualified apology for sharing the MDC’s letter without her knowledge or consent” he stated
Dr. Daly’s legal team had reportedly been preparing a defamation lawsuit, which may now be reconsidered following the apology and retraction from Mr. Amarteifio.
Sources close to Dr.Dally indicate that while the retraction is a step toward reconciliation, further actions may depend on the sincerity of Amarteifio’s remorse and efforts to correct the misinformation.
This development marks a significant shift in the ongoing brouhaha, though it remains to be seen whether it will fully mend the rift between the two parties.
