GIMPA Graduate Students urged to innovate

GIMPA Graduate Students urged to innovate

The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration(GIMPA) chapter of the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG), has urged student-workers to take advantage of their current unique position and innovate working-from-home systems in order to find relevance within the fourth industrial revolution which started several years ago but has been accelerated by the CODVI-19 pandemic.

Mr. Raphael Apetorgbor, the President, GIMPA GRASAG expressed his heartfelt congratulations to all student-workers, teachers/lecturers and all workers in Ghana, especially our frontline health workers.

“We believe the state of the working environment is changing and there are no more guaranteed jobs because information technology is fast driving the fourth industrial revolution,” he said in a congratulatory message to mark this Worker’s Day.

‘Therefore, industry and academia must collaborate to create online working environments especially during this coronavirus pandemic and beyond’

‘Remember, innovation also leads to great entrepreneurial opportunities,” he stated.

While wishing the Workers a solemn May Day celebration, Mr. Apetorgbor encouraged students to be vigilant and adhere to preventive measures against the CODVI-19 such as physical distancing, use of face masks, frequent handwashing with soap under running water, and use of alcohol-based hand sanitisers.

The Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG), Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration(GIMPA) chapter on this Workers day expresses our heartfelt congratulations to all student-workers, teachers/lecturers and all workers in Ghana, especially our frontline health workers.

We believe the state of the working environment is changing and there are no more guaranteed jobs because information technology is fast driving the fourth industrial revolution.

Therefore, industry and academia must collaborate to create online working environments especially during this coronavirus pandemic and beyond.

We urge student-workers to take advantage of their current unique position and innovate working-from-home systems in order to find relevance within the fourth industrial revolution which started several years ago but has been accelerated by the CODVI-19
pandemic.

Remember, innovation also leads to great entrepreneurial opportunities.

Finally, we encourage students to be vigilant and adhere to preventive measures against the CODVI-19 such as physical distancing, use of face masks, frequent handwashing with soap under running water, and use of alcohol-based hand sanitisers.
