President Akufo Addo has passed yet another unfortunate comment to Ewes and residents of the Volta Region who are still counting their losses after the Akosombo Dam spillage by VRA.
Akufo Addo who went to Mepe today October 16th 2023 in a speech to Mepe Chiefs and Natives said, “I came here because Ghanaians are having difficulties and suffering, It is my responsibility to try and help because if it is a question of counting who votes for me and who doesn’t vote for me, I shouldn’t be here because you don’t vote for me” he said while making gestures with his left hand.
His visit to the area is coming almost a week after the spillage of the Akosombo Dam by VRA has caused devastating flooding issues to communities along the southern part of the Volta River bank.
This birdbrain comment from Akufo Addo is not the first of its kind from him directed at Voltarians, he has for years maintained his hostility towards ewes and residents of the Volta region.
In November 2019 while His cousin Ofori Atta was reading the national budget, they deliberately excluded the Volta region from the whole budget statement.
As though that wasn’t enough, Akufo Addo in October 2021 insulted the Chief Of Aflao when the venerable chief asked the government to speed up the completion of an abandoned E Block In the area.
