The wife of Vice President Bawumia, Samira Bawumia’s driver has been killed in a road crash that occurred in the afternoon on 13th January 2024.
Samira Bawumia’s convoy was returning from Kumasi when the tragic incident happened around Konongo on the Kumasi to Accra highway.
Our deep Sources around the Bawumia family say, one person whose name has only been given as Fuseini died on the spot as he did not survive the car crash.
Fuseini was sitting in the rear seat of one of the Landcruiser which was being driven by one Col. Aban, a military officer who is part of Samira’s security detail.
An Insider has said, that Fuseini who is a driver of Samira Bawumia in the last few days complained about his working conditions and remuneration.
Samira Bawumia and her husband Dr. Bawumia were not pleased with Fuseini’s demand for a salary increase. Fuseini was eventually suspended because he asked for a pay rise.
While serving his suspension, Col. Aban convinced Fuseini to join them on their recent trip to Kumasi the Ashanti Regional capital.
It was during their return that the Car fuseini was sitting which was being driven by Col. Aban was crashed around Konongo leading to the death of Fuseini.
Interestingly, the driver of the Toyota Landcruiser, Col. Aban who convinced Fuseini to join them on the trip even tho he was serving a suspension for demanding an increase in his salary survives the crash.
Fuseini on the other hand died raising suspicion on whether it was a well-orchestrated plan to eliminate Fuseini or not.
