The Member of Parliament (MP) for the North Tongu Constituency, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has reminded the Finance Minister Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta will definitely account to Parliament on covid expenditure.
He said the sector Minister can run but he can’t hide forever.
According to the outspoken lawmaker, whenever the finance minister is called to account in Parliament he finds flimsy excuses to escape.
He continued that all Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta knows best is to dissipate taxpayers’ money without any constitutional approval.
In a tweet on Thursday, June 16, 2022, Mr. Ablakwa stated, “Anytime Ken Ofori-Atta must account to the Ghanaian people through Parliament, he makes pathetic excuses & runs away.
“If it was an opportunity to engage in unconstitutional withdrawals of taxpayer funds, he would have proceeded with unholy alacrity. He can run but he can’t hide.”
