The management of Fabrimetal Ghana Limited has donated several items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to some deprived communities within the Ningo Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region.

This is part of the company’s efforts to help ease the pressure on the poor and vulnerable amidst the Coronavirus enforced lockdown.

The items which include rice, cooking oil and some assorted items were presented to the communities through the District Chief Executive of Ningo Prampram at Tsopoli.

Presenting the items to the community, the Human Resources Manager of the company, Benard Senyo Avotri noted that, the items are to help alleviate the level of the hardship of about 250 families within some deprived communities in Ningo Prampram District.

“Having worked in this area for quite some time, we are very much aware of the level of hardship communities in this area are faced with hence the donation.”

He said the company is poised at continuing with the gesture in various capacities to ensure that the poor and vulnerable do not suffer from the lockdown.

Mr Avotri further advised the various communities to adhere to the social distancing protocols to ensure they do not compromise the gains being made by the government in the fight against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

The company also presented similar items to workers of the company who are currently home due to the President’s directive on some protocols to be observed in the fight against the pandemic.

The District Chief Executive of the Ningo Prampram Assembly, Jonathan Teye Doku who received the items on behalf of the community promised to ensure the items are put to good use to the benefit of the people.

“We appreciate the gesture from Fabrimetal and we believe it will go a long way to help our people as most communities here are deprived.”

He called on other corporate organisations within the Ningo Prampram District to emulate the gesture from Fabrimetal and come to the aid of the vulnerable within the area.

The Managing Director of the Company Rohit Raj added that the company stands for quality when it comes to its products as well as customer service thus the initiative to reach out to the families within its catchment area.

“We believe in a symbiotic relationship with the community we operate in. Fabrimetal Ghana is embarking on a number of intervention programs to help combat the COVID-19 in Ghana. In this particular role out, our objective is to reach out to over 250 poor families in our surrounding communities.”
