The head of the Political desk of Joy Fm Evans Mensah has said the 2020 election was smooth and that the NDC are only making false claims against the EC
In an interaction with Raymond Acquah on a program dubbed state of play, the news reader said the election was free, fair and transparent with no issues even when 8 persons were gunned down during the election process.
His comment was in reaction to claims by John Mahama that some 1 million ballot papers were printed by the EC on the blind side of the NDC and those papers even though the EC admitted was a mistake might have found their ways into the main elections because there were videos of those events and many persons were caught trying to smuggle them into the ballot boxes.
In his reaction Evans Mensah said, what the NDC seek to do is to play politics with the issue and make the EC look bad in the eyes of Ghanaians.
He has this rated the work of the EC as excellent and also suggested the NDC is just crying wolf when there is none.
In the 2020 election, 8 Ghanaians lost their lives by security forces sanctioned by the government shooting and killing them instantly.
Unfortunately, some of those who died were even minors with no voting rights, but even in the midst of all these unfortunate happening the Jean Mensa led EC and their government sponsored apparatchiks like Evans Mensah and Joy Fm believe it was a fair and incident free election.
