US-based Ghanaians investigative journalist, Kevin Taylor has written to the International Monetary Fund requesting for information on the Economic and Financial Data submitted by the Republic of Ghana as part of requirement to access the Rapid Credit Facility (RCF) for Coronavirus.

The Ministry of Finance has been accused of sending two different data with the IMF and the Parliament of Ghana during the 2020 budget reading in parliament.

The Ministry in the press statement denied the allegations saying the data submitted to both IMF and Parliament are accurate.

However, the explanations of the Ministry of Finance appears not satisfactory to Mr. Taylor who had written to the Internal Investigations of IMF.

The Briton Wood institution has since acknoladged receipt of Kevin Taylor’s request.
