In a shocking revelation that has left countless Ghanaians in disbelief, a man who presented himself as a respected medical professional has been exposed as a fraudster and quack doctor. Operating under the name “Dr. Wask,” this individual deceived patients, falsified medical credentials, and engaged in unethical practices that put countless lives at risk. His elaborate scheme, however, extended far beyond the realm of healthcare, as he also posed as a life coach, entrepreneur, investor, and even a gold fraudster, leaving a trail of victims in his wake.
The Rise of “Dr. Wask”
For years, “Dr. Wask” built a fake reputation as a multifaceted professional. He claimed to have graduated from a prestigious medical school in Ghana and boasted about his extensive experience in treating complex medical conditions.
His clinic, located in Spintex, a suburb of Accra, was adorned with fake awards and falsified testimonials, creating an illusion of credibility and success.
Over the years, the clinic attracted patients seeking alternative treatments and personalized care, particularly in the Greater Accra region.
Beyond his medical persona, “Dr. Wask” also presented himself as a life coach, entrepreneur, and investor. He claimed to have deep business connections and knowledge of healthcare delivery, further solidifying his image as a trusted figure in the community.
His cunning demeanor and persuasive storytelling allowed him to gain the trust of unsuspecting individuals, many of whom sought his advice and services even without a proven license.
The First Cracks in the Facade
The first cracks in the “Dr. Wask” facade appeared when investigative journalist and lead broadcaster Mr. Kevin Taylor intercepted reliable information about the fraudster’s activities.
It was revealed that William Anarfi Sarpong, the man behind the “Dr. Wask” persona, was attempting to defraud wealthy Arabians in Dubai using the name of former Ghanaian President John Mahama.
This audacious scheme involved presenting himself as a representative of the former president, leveraging Mahama’s name to gain credibility and access to high-profile individuals.
The Dubai scam was just the tip of the iceberg. Further investigations uncovered that “Dr. Wask” had been involved in a series of fraudulent activities, including gold scams, where he posed as a middleman for gold deals.
He allegedly swindled unsuspecting investors out of large sums of money by promising them lucrative returns on gold investments that never materialized.
His ability to manipulate and deceive people across different industries highlighted the extent of his criminal ingenuity.
When President Mahama was announced as The winner of the 2024 Elections In Ghana, he quickly Resort to his instagram page to share a random picture he took with Mr. Mahama when he was the opposition leader many months ago before the election.
From our findings so far, it’s one of the pictures he has been flaunting to his Dubai partners as a proof that he has connections with the President of Ghana.
We are however going to make times difficult for Williams Anarfi Sarpong because such Scams as he’s preparing for now only brings the name of Ghana down driving away genuine investors and that is what we are all out to make sure we stop.
