Dr. Kwabena Duffuor has donated GHC100,000 to the Eastern regional branch of the NDC in support of their outreach program ahead of the 2024 polls.
The donation was made at the Regional Headquarters on Tuesday, April 26, by former National Organizer of the party Yaw Boateng Gyan, and received by National Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
One would ask what is the sudden dashing of cash by Dr.Duffuor to the NDC and what is his motive ?
De.Duffuor’s reason for some of this donation on recent days is sponsored by the Jubilee house led by dishonourable Prez.Akufo Addo.
Dr.Duffuor’s attempt to contest the Flag bearer slot of the NDC against the obvious Choice John Mahama is not necessarily because he want to win, but it’s a deliberate ploy meant to destabilise the NDC and eventually distract John Mahama and the NDC base from focusing on the real issues facing Ghana and the rot of Akufo Addo-Bawumia led NPP government.
Duffuor served as the finance minister between 2009-2013. Even before that, he also served in the capacity as the Governor of the Bank of Ghana. He was given a rare opportunity even though many were those who raised objections against his person that he was a mole in the party with his heart belonging to the CPP.
Notwithstanding the many valid reasons people in the party expressed, President Mills of blessed memory gave him an opportunity to serve because he believed in his expertise and above all have respect for everyone Ghanaian.
Dr. Duffuor has thus immensely benefited from the Ndc than many others who laid their lives down for the party.
However, Ever since John Mahama took over the mantle after the death of Professor Mills, Duffuor has deserted the NDC making no contribution to 2012 victory and even 2016 and 2020 elections.
Dr.Duffuor is the owner of EIB, a media broadcast and print media network in Ghana notably Ghone Tv, Starr Fm, Abusua Fm, Empire Fm, Agoo Tv among other subsidiaries.
However, none of these stations ever do the biding of the NDC. Duffuor’s media houses have championed nasty agendas meant to derail the NDC than even Pro-NPP media houses.
He has never cared about the NDC a party which gave him enormous opportunity and he will obviously not care.
All his attempt to throw monies around now to lure some members of the NDC is a façade.
Granted Duffuor even qualifies to contest as Flag bearer of the NDC, who will support Duffuor when he never supported others or the Party?
Akufo Addo knows the contest between Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten and Dr.Bawumia his Vice will be a bloody one which has started unfolding.
The NPP and the jubilee house in return are equally looking for an opportunity to equally make the Ndc go through similar ordeal by releasing some of the frozen assets and cash to Kwabena Duffuor on grounds that he should use it to frustrate the Ndc’s quest to capture power in 2024.
Duffuor on the other hand, has succeeded in recruiting other bitter soul like Yaw Boateng Gyan, former National Organizer of the NDC who lost in his bid to contest against Kofi Adams and has since been displaying nothing but glaring foolishness and absurdity.
The Akufo Addo led Government as we speak is prosecuting Kwabena Duffuor on issues of his Bank Collapse and it’s something they will use the court to Jail Duffuor if he refuses to dance to their tune.
One of the conditions attached to setting him free is to contest John Mahama when he(Duffuor) knows there’s no way he will win any contest against Mahama in the Ndc.
Dr.Kwabena Duffuor is greedy and he is bent on dragging the Ndc on a needless fruitless road and thus preventing them from keeping track of the crimes the NPP is commuting in office.
The monies he is throwing around now is never because he in any way want to empower the Ndc grassroots, it’s all part of the plan to swindle a few party members to believe he is a genuine man.
He knows he is never going to win any contest but for him to step aside for party to settle on John Mahama as its next leader without going through the hassle of election which will be waste of time and resource, Duffuor would rather wish collapse at this point than come to power.
