The Cape Winelands – home to some of the world’s best wine producers, which are nestled among small towns that attract hundreds of tourists every year – are now hauntingly silent because of the lockdown.
News24 visited the area, and only a few people can be seen out and about getting essentials.
The N1, which would normally be filled with Easter weekend holidaymakers, only had trucks making their daily deliveries.
