The US based Ghanaian journalist, Kevin Taylor has taken on the former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) saying someone like him who does not even know how to access his personal email can definitely not know the importance of cheaper data in the wake of this COVID-19 crises in Ghana.
Mr. Taylor appeared to have angered by Mr. Allotey Jabcobs who was alleged to have said that those on Facebook calling on president Akufo-Addo to engage the telecom companies in the country in bid of helping cut the cost of data are “fools”.
According to Kevin Taylor someone like Allotey Jacobs who is out of touch with today’s world, therefore, cannot even reason like a today’s human being especially when people are being advised to stay and work from home to help stop the spread of the deadly corona virus.
“People are being adviced to stay and work from home. People need data to help them access the internet for work and search for information. People need to get message on the COVID-19 pandemic so they need data, they need cheaper data” – He said
“So if people are calling on the President Akudo-Addo to engage the Telcos to help cut data, people like Allotey Jacobs who does not even know how to take case of his face to look like a human bring anytime he visits the barbering shop be insulting people on Facebook making legitimate and reasonable demands” – He fumes
