Your Excellency Nana Addo,
I write with the highest respect to inform your office to assign adequate security protection to the elected Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Alban S.K. Bagbin with immediate effect. Ghanaians cannot afford to mislay or completely lose the Speaker at this critical moment. The Speaker can be kidnapped or killed, if the state refuses to protect him.
Currently, your government has assigned military men to protect Chinese illegal miners in our forests and assisting them to degrade our lands and pollute our waterbodies. How can you protect foreign nationals who are damaging our country but refuse to protect our Speaker who spearheads our legislative arm of government? This is unconscionable!!
Please, what is your motive behind this action, just before the voting on your dangerous and unreasonable e-levy policy? Do you think this action can intimidate the Speaker to take unfavourable and wrongful decisions to put Ghanaians into unprecedented hardships? Sorry, your ploy will not work because you are dealing with an experienced, truthful, strong, courageous and incorruptible Speaker of Parliament.
Your Excellency, be guided that your government will not be in power forever and you will surely reap whatever you are sowing today. The table will turn one day and you may become the most miserable former president in the world, if you continue this way. Please stop imposing this evil and useless e-levy policy on Ghanaians but concentrate on combating corruption, thieving, mismanagement and financial leakages that are sufficing as impediments to the progress and success of your government.
If your plan is to assign new NPP party boys in military or police uniforms as security men to protect the Speaker, then you are wrong. Some of us have seen this diabolic plan but it will not happen. At this point, I will advice Mr. Bagbin to find his owned security detail who will be paid by the government or insist on choosing his own men he can trust from the police or military teams.
Mr. Speaker, please never accept any security men that will be provided by this government. They may monitor your plans, schedules and feed information to some unknown assailants. At least, we still remember how JB Danquah was killed in his own house.
