Since Akufo Addo came into office as President, his actions and inactions are one which suggest he has an agenda against Ewes.
Even before the NPP won the 2016 elections, one lie they kept trumpeting was that the Ghanaian voter register was bloated with Togolese.
This unguided talk led to the mischievous change of the Voter register all in an attempt to suppress ewes and their votes because they are assumed to be voters of the NDC.
The registration of the voter register was characterized by intimidation directed at ewes.
To further push their Evil agenda, a section of voltarians who felt marginalized after the whole Volta region was excluded from the 2020 budget read by Ofori Atta began holding various meetings and deliberations.
This further spiced up the whole conversation about the Western Togoland breakaway.
Between 2019 to September 2020, the National Security led by Kan Dapaah made several arrests of ewes tagging most of them as terrorists whose intent was to destabilize the government
Even though the government through national security is undoubtedly behind many of the seeming unrest in the Volta region before election 2020 just to put fears in an area they suspect predominantly votes for the Opposition NDC, the National Security are yet to bring forth any evidence against the 46 Voltarians they claim to have arrested in connection to the Western Togoland issue.
These men have since been kept at Nsawam prisons denying them a fair trial or hearing.
